About the Job:
We are global leader in specialty tyre and wheel services, supporting essential industries across the Material Handling and Construction sectors. As part of the Yokohama TWS Group, we pride ourselves on keeping our customers’ operations moving safely and efficiently.
We are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our Service Team based in Smithfield, NSW. This a combination of branch and on-site work, you will carry out tyre fitting, repairs, inspections and maintenance on a wide range of material handling, and industrial equipment.
This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling; however, our mobile service trucks are equipped with modern tools, lifting aids and safety equipment to help you perform your work efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Fitting, removing, repairing and maintaining tyres onsite on all makes and sizes of material handling and construction equipment.
Inspecting and identifying wear, damage or pressure issues
Operating tyre presses, to facilitate the removal, and re-fitting of all tyre types in accordance with manufacturer and safety protocols
To carry out puncture repairs as and when required
Completing accurate reports and defect logs
Supporting general workshop tasks and mobile plant maintenance teams as needed
Conducting site‑based tyre inspections and completing service reports
Ensuring all work is carried out safely, following company procedures and site requirements
Providing professional customer service while working independently on sites
Maintaining tools, equipment and the service truck to a high standard
To ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, with reference to manual handling
Key Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years proven experience as an industrial tyre fitter/solid tyre press operator
Desirable but not essential, having previous Port & OTR tyre fitting experience
Relevant certifications or licences applicable to tyre fitting or mobile plant operations
Hold a valid driver’s licence and at least an MR truck licence
Hold a valid forklift licence desirable but not essential
A commitment to working safely, with strong situational awareness
The ability to work independently, manage time well and deliver high‑quality service
A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and develop
