About the Job:

The Quality Specialist supports in all activities the quality team and the Quality Manager, with a particular specialization; maintains records, processes, procedures including responsibility for data entry of specific quality related information; provides support to other departments as needed on behalf of the Quality Department; coordinates activities between departments and/or outside parties; participates in all activities related to ISO certifications and maintenance of the site management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality control of compounds and semi-finished products
    Perform inspections on raw materials and finished compounds in accordance with quality plans.
    Conduct rheological and physical-mechanical tests, e.g.:
    Mooney viscosity
    MDR/ODR rheometer
    Shore A/D hardness
    Density
    Compression set
    Tensile strength/elongation
    Verify compliance with technical data sheets and customer specifications.

  • Non-conformity management
    Record and analyze internal or customer-reported non-conformities.
    Support root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, etc.).
    Define and monitor corrective/preventive actions.

  • Production support
    Provide technical assistance to operators during compounding and the production of semi-finished products.
    Evaluate potential process/product adjustments to improve quality.
    Manage in-line controls.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    Process quality data for trends, KPIs, and statistical analysis (Cp/Cpk).
    Prepare reports and technical documentation.

  • Collaboration with R&D and Technologies
    Support testing of new formulations.
    Contribute to the industrialization of compounds and semi-finished products.
    Validate recipe changes and laboratory tests.

  • Regulations and Management Systems
    Ensure compliance with:
    ISO 9001:2015
    ISO 14001:2015
    ISO 45001:2023
    Industry-specific regulations.
    Update quality documentation and laboratory procedures

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (engineering/chemistry/materials engineering)
  • Knowledge of elastomers, additives, fillers, and mixing processes
  • Proficiency with key laboratory instruments
  • Knowledge of technical drawings and material specifications
  • Experience with quality management software
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication with production and technical departments
  • Commitment to continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen methodologies)
  • Knowledge of English
