About the Job:

In this strategic role, you will oversee and manage all indirect purchasing activities for Yokohama TWS Operations (including tooling, equipment, and machinery) as well as central functions (including services). You will also be accountable for the management and governance of investment projects across all plants.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, develop, and inspire an international team of purchasing professionals.
    • Ensure effective investment management, aligning procurement strategies with business objectives to optimize cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
    • Drive the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement best practices across indirect spend categories.
    • Manage and strengthen relationships with key suppliers; negotiate favorable commercial terms to secure optimal quality, service, and cost outcomes.
    • Establish governance and transparency over CapEx procurement processes across plants.
    • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Maintenance, Finance, and other stakeholders.

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Economics/Business.
  • Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable senior procurement role.
    • Proven track record in CapEx sourcing and investment project management preferred.
    • Experience leading international or cross-functional teams.
  • Technical & Professional Skills

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP/database systems.
    • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix and cross-functional environment.
    • High level of ownership, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure.
    • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
    • Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset.
